As the original founder of DRG in 1997, James Cowing leads DRG's Information Security Consulting practice. With over ten years of security consulting experience and twenty years of financial services industry experience, Mr. Cowing has helped thousands of government, financial services, ecommerce, enterprise, and health care companies maneuver through the often complex and stringent security compliance requirements of their respective industry. Mr. Cowing is a seasoned payment card industry professional, renowned speaker and trusted security advisor to industry leading financial institutions, merchants, and service providers. He holds a CPA certification in California and Hawaii, an MBA in Finance and a BA from UCLA in Economics. Mr. Cowing served as the co-chair of the Security Committee for the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC) and is currently a member of ISACA, ISSA, Computer Security Institute and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Information Technology Division.
 

 
Patrick S. Smart, QSA
Senior VP - Business Development
 
Patrick (Pat) Smart is one of the three original founders of Digital Resources Group. He has over thirty-five years of managerial experience in the telecommunication and financial industries with the last twenty plus years dedicated to the development and implementation of information security. While at AT&T's Bell Laboratories, Mr. Smart developed and directed a number of high-profile projects, from major computer implementations to technology developments. His work in the security space resulted in the creation of the industry's first network and computer security policies. As Vice President and District Manager of Well Fargo, responsible for the bank's "Information Security Consulting" organization, Mr. Smart was responsible for the financial industry's first deployment of a secure online banking application. For his work in these areas, Mr. Smart is recognized as a pioneer in the telecom and security industry. He is recognized both nationally and internationally, as a premier security speaker and information security industry leader. In addition, Mr. Smart is the founder of Security Management And Risk Technology and a member of the U.S. Secret Service's Electronic Crime Taskforce, the FBI's InfraGard and past member and speaker at the High Technology Crime Investigation Association.
 

 

 
Jonathan Louie, QSA
VP - Client Relationships
 
Jonathan (Jon) Louie has extensive experience in information technology and operational support at large financial institutions. As the vice president of client relationships at DRG, Mr. Louie manages new and existing service provider security assessments and PCI compliance validations. Prior to joining DRG, Mr. Louie held positions at Visa USA, Bank of America, Franklin Templeton and Providian Financial. As a consultant for Visa USA, Mr. Louie worked with Corporate Risk and Compliance and the Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) to enforce and monitor service provider CISP compliance. As a key contributor to the Visa USA Accelerated Risk and Compliance Initiative (ARCI), he worked tirelessly with Visa Member acquiring banks and assessors to ensure Third Party Service Providers validate CISP/Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. Mr. Louie is a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), has extensive knowledge of the Visa CISP and PCI compliance objectives, and holds a MBA in Computer Information Systems and BA in Art History.
 

 
Anjna Mehta
Operations Manager
 
With over 10 years of managerial experience, Anjna Mehta is the Operations Manager for Digital Resources Group. In this role, Ms. Mehta oversees DRG’s Secure Scan operation and assists with sales and business development activities. Ms. Mehta holds a B.S degree in Marketing from Notre Dame De Namur University.
